What is COgnitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)?

Using the CBT model, you will learn to identify your own patterns of thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. You’ll come to understand how your thoughts shape how you feel, and how they impact your life in significant ways. The thoughts that once led to depression, anxiety, and anger will be replaced with new, healthy alternatives. Finally, you will be in control of how you feel.

While our past matters and at times we need to look at our history in order to understand unhealthy patterns, we don’t want to stay there. Solution-Focused Therapy allows us to be present-minded and to identify positive directions that we can build upon. SFT is a brief and clinically effective treatment that emphasizes strengths used in the past that can help overcome the challenges of today. The aim of SFT is to help you identify small, achievable steps toward your goals, and support you through completing these steps, one step at a time. By breaking up overwhelming tasks into smaller pieces, you can feel more empowered to take charge of your life as you see positive achievable results.
